Ivan Fortushniak
I met Dr. Fortushniak in my freshman year when I enrolled in ART 211 (Beginning Oil Painting), and later studied with him in ART 281 (Experimental Watercolor Painting) and ART 112 (Fundamentals of Drawing). He kept his classes relaxed yet productive, and it was there- especially after completing projects- that I learned to view criticism as a tool for improving my skills rather than as an obstacle.
Youssef Yakoub
I know Mr. Yakoub from enrolling in his COMM 348 (Animation) in my sophomore year and in his COMM 355 (Editing for Video and Film) class as a junior. He’s very passionate and happily learns alongside us while teaching.
Jeremy Waltman
I first met Dr. Waltman as my freshman advisor. In my sophomore year, I took his COMM 351 (Advanced Video Production) and saw his obvious love for filmmaking. As a Junior, I enrolled in his COMM 303 (Script Writing) course, his passion for teaching script structure made it the most enjoyable writing class I’ve had.
